5 Days Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha Lodge Safari
Day 1: Nairobi - Maasai Mara
Pick up from your hotel by our company representative with our driver and depart for the Maasai Mara Game Reserve. You will travel via the view-point of the Great Rift Valley and Narok town for lunch and refueling. After lunch leave Narok and drive to the reserve arriving at the Lodge, check in and relax for a few minutes in the lodge. Proceed for an afternoon game drive, tracking various animal species especially the big five and birds with our guide. Dinner and overnight at the lodge inside park.
Day 2: Full day in Maasai Mara
Have an early breakfast then head out to the Mara River, hoping to see a dramatic river crossing. It is quite some sight to see the massed herds take a leap of faith into the Mara or Talek rivers with the Nile crocodiles lying in wait for them. Afternoon will be spent in exploring the park in search of the big five and trailing the wildebeest migration. The Mara offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe: over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. You will easily see lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes and elephant. It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savanna- lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena and vultures. Optional hot air balloon safari can be arranged at an extra cost of US$ 450 per person. Later in the evening return to the lodge for dinner and overnight inside park.
Day 3: Maasai Mara national reserve to lake Nakuru national reserve
We will start the day with an early morning game drive and return to the lodge for breakfast. After which, we will depart for Lake Nakuru National park located in the Great Rift Valley and have an evening game drive. Lake Nakuru is home to a stunning flock of lesser and greater Flamingos, turning the lakeshores into a magnificent pink stretch. The park has diverse species of over 400 birds such as White Pelicans, Plovers, Egrets and Marabou Stork. It is also one of the very few places in Africa where you can see the White and Black Rhino and rare Rothschild’s Giraffe. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight inside park.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru - Lake Naivasha
After breakfast you will proceed on a game drive in Lake Nakuru Park, known for its prolific bird-life including flamingos. The park contains a sanctuary for the conservation of the white rhino while species like Cape Buffalo and Waterbuck can be seen near the shoreline–enjoy a hot lunch and drive to Naivasha–you have an option to take a boat ride in this fresh water lake to go and see hippos and fish eagles at extra cost. Dinner and overnight at the lodge inside park.
